Interior Spatial Planning

In interior design, spatial planning allows the space in a room to be planned well such that it will be used in the most effective and practical ways. Spatial Planning in interior design is an important first step for a successful design.

When planning interior spaces, more energy or emphasis is usually placed aesthetic appeal. However, other factors such as comfort and practicality and safety ought to be considered.

Even though there are no roles when it comes to interior design, the following considerations come in handy:

1. Plan for real life

Here, the interior designer's planning includes blocking out interior spatial areas, defining circulation patterns and developing plans for furniture layout and equipment placement.

2. Create a vision

Once an idea of how the space should function has been done, the interior designer blends it with the client's aesthetic and atmospheric desires to create a concept for the space.

3. Materials and construction

Good quality materials have a sound and a feeling that is different than poor quality materials.

4. Strike a balance

Before doing any interior design, it is important to evaluate a room's overall composition for balance rather than deliberately creating focal points. In order to this, an interior designer begins by using the room's architectural features such as windows and doors then adding in pieces until the right balance is attained.

In doing spatial planning, an interior designer has to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs. At Jumbo Crafts Ltd, our interior designers are well trained and have the necessary experience in using CAD programs that enables them convert our customer's dreams and desires into reality.
